This afternoon while snacking on an apple Aidan said something that had me rolling on the floor with laughter…
Aidan: Mom apple’s green.
Mom: Yes Aidan, that apple is green.
Aidan: Mom you’re brown.
Mom: (Smile) Yes Aidan, I am brown. What color is daddy?
Aidan: White.
Mom: (Grin) Daddy is white. What color are you?
Aidan: White.
Mom: (Laugh out loud) No Aidan you are not white, you are tan.
OH My! That’s adorable! I often wonder at what age kids are cognizant of skin colour & often times try to recall to see if there was a such a revelation in my own childhood. At least Aidan can look back at this know when he was first aware. Tan is right…altho Mark is more tan than Aidan is & features wise, Mark’s leaning more towards you than Will. I love kids & the darndest things they say. Post some more as they come along…Boy what will the other 2 say when they start talking? Little voices everywhere…
